About Me
My journey to editing and movies was a bit long (but extremely enriching at the same time). First of all, I got my Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communications from University of History and Archives in Moscow. After that, I completed a Master's degree in Visual Culture at the Higher School of Economy. At the same time, I did my Erasmus exchange at Groningen University (the Netherlands), where I was taking courses in the Film Studies program.
Right after finishing my master's degree, I realised that I was eager to put all the theoretical knowledge into action - so I went to the High Courses of Cinema and TV at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography and became a film editor in 2018. Since then, I have been editing short films, documentaries, music videos and commercials.
Up to this day, I am fascinated by the possibility to create a narrative with the visual medium, to shape its rhythm and dynamic. I'm looking forward to learning and to finding new ways of telling stories.
